A 5-day Rwanda safari with gorilla tracking at Volcanoes National Park and Chimpanzee tracking at Nyungwe Forest can be an amazing way to Explore Rwanda 🇷🇼. Arrive at Kigali, head to Volcanoes NP, track gorillas and sleep at Lake Kivu in Kibuye and head south to Nyungwe See Chimpanzee and walk on the canopy, before you head back to Kigali.
Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by our guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Musanze, near Volcanoes National Park. You can rest and prepare for the exciting days ahead. Visit the Ellen DeGeneres campus of Dian Fossey.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking at Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head to the Volcanoes National Park for an incredible gorilla tracking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will trek through the lush forest until you find a family of mountain gorillas. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat before returning to your lodge, check out and head for Lake Kivu.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. The journey takes you through scenic landscapes, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of Rwanda’s countryside. Arrive at your lodge in Nyungwe Forest and relax for the evening.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking at Nyungwe Forest and Canopy Walk
Today, you will embark on a thrilling chimpanzee tracking adventure in Nyungwe Forest. Trek through the tropical rainforest, listening to the sounds of nature and keeping an eye out for these playful primates. Once you find them, you will have the opportunity to observe them up close and learn about their behavior. Return to your lodge and have lunch as wait for the canopy walk in the afternoon and enjoy the tranquility of the forest from a Birds Eye view.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and transfer back to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight. If time allows, you may also have the option to explore some of Kigali’s attractions before your departure.
